Maggie Geiger.JPG

Maggie has proudly served in various capacities and chairmanships on the unit, county, and district level including Sergeant at Arms, Chaplain, 2nd and 1st Vice President, and President.  Some special projects are co-founding Sweat4Vets; working with the VSO on “To Whom Honor is Due” Dinner honoring veterans, in conjunction with Concordia University, and facilitating a WWII veteran secure his Honorary College Degree.

Eligible for membership through her father, Herbert “Buck” Masters, a WWII veteran, Maggie is a 18 year Paid Up for Life (PUFL) member, has attended leadership trainings with the American Legion Auxiliary, ALA Mission Training, and the American Legion College, served as co-chair and presented ALA in the Know conferences, served on the ALA Strategic Planning Team, Americanism Chair, ALABGS Committee, and has chaired Americanism, Poppy, Membership, Service to Veterans, was co-chairman for the 2022 National ALA Convention, and also served as Department Historian.

Her passion is for our nation’s heroes, promoting ALA programs and its mission.  Serving God and Country with ALA members from Wisconsin is a privilege.  Serving as chair for different department programs, has allowed her to gain more appreciation and recognize the love, compassion and struggles our ALA members/units have, how hard unit members work to retain and gain members, while working the programs and mission of the American Legion Auxiliary.  Members are not just volunteers, but a family working together to make the lives of our American heroes better one day at a time.  Maggie believes ALA members need to continue to show each other kindness and work closely with our American Legion Family, mentoring and embracing new ideas from members, while reaching out to our youth and communities.  Together we can continue to meet the needs of our veterans, military and their families.

Maggie and her husband Brian of 47 years are members of Alliance Bible Church and lifetime members of Ozaukee County Historical Society.  They are proud parents of son Patrick, daughter in-law Jackie, daughter Katie, son-in-law Michael, grandsons Gabriel, Emre, Hoban, and granddaughter Theodora – all members of the American Legion Family!
