Auxiliary Emergency Fund

Mission Statement: The Auxiliary Emergency Fund Committee is responsible for raising funds that provide temporary assistance to eligible members affected by a disaster or weather-related occurrence or a change in family or job status that has created a financial crisis in their life. The fund also assists members with need to obtain training or update skills necessary to enter or re-enter the workforce.

Goal: To assist eligible members who have suffered a financial setback; provide emergency assistance to members affected by disaster or weather-related occurrences and provide educational assistance to members re-entering the workforce or needing to up grade skills necessary to be competitive in today’s workforce.

 

Awards and Recognition:

Units  should forward the funds and the list of donors to Department Headquarters.  Department will then forward your donation on to the National Accounting Department.  Once the donation is recorded, a lapel pin and/or citation, along with a formal “Thank You,” will be sent directly to the Unit/donor.

 

A. Citation Plaque Recognition: Given to the Unit and Department contributing the most donations to the AEF.

 

B. Citation Recognition: Given to Departments, Units or individuals that contribute $100.00 or more to the Auxiliary Emergency Fund.
